- Interview someone who experienced a major event or historic moment in person. (Examples include wars, natural disasters, protests, major sporting events, space achievements, and epic firsts).
- Decide on a format. You can share your Q&A as an audio file (6 to 8 minutes) or a typed document (750 to 1,000 words).
- Write an introduction and conclusion to go with your interview.
- Have your teacher, parent, or other legal guardian send us your entry. (Students cannot enter directly.)
We’ll award the winning entry $250 and print it in Junior Scholastic! That student’s teacher also will get $250. Two runner-up entries will each get $50.
