2025 Eyewitness to History Contest

We read about history all the time. But chances are, someone you know has experienced it.

Maybe they have:

  • Lived through a pandemic.
  • Faced war firsthand.
  • Marched for their rights.

Whatever it is, we want you to help tell that story!

DIRECTIONS: To enter, interview someone who experienced a historic event in person. Then send us the interview in Q&A form. It can be written (700 to 900 words) or an audio recording (5 to 7 minutes).

We will award the winning interview $250 and publish it in Junior Scholastic. That student’s teacher will also get $250. Two runner-up entries will each get $50. Good luck!

Entries must be postmarked by December 30, 2024.
