You Could Win!
2024 Eyewitness to History Contest

These are examples of major events you could interview someone about.
We read about history all the time. But chances are someone you know has experienced it. Maybe they have:
• Rallied for change.
• Survived a natural disaster.
• Lived through a war.
Whatever it is, we want you to help tell that story!
DIRECTIONS: To enter, interview someone who experienced a historic event in person. Then send us the interview in Q&A form. It can be written (700 to 900 words) or an audio recording (5 to 7 minutes).
If you win, we’ll publish your interview in Junior Scholastic. You and your teacher will also each get $250! In addition, two runners-up will each get $50. Good luck!
Entries must be postmarked by December 20, 2023.
Send your Q&A and entry form to:
JS Eyewitness to History Contest 557 Broadway, 4th Floor New York, NY 10012
