That Nerf ball isn’t just for playing anymore. It’s officially a part of history! Nerf toys, Cabbage Patch Kids, and baseball cards were recently inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame in Rochester, New York. A panel of historians and other experts chose them based on design, popularity, how long they’ve been around, and how much creativity they spark.

1. Baseball Cards
A 1952 Mickey Mantle baseball card sold for a record $12.6 million in 2022.

2. Nerf Toys
The first Nerf ball hit shelves in 1969. The slogan: “Throw it indoors. You can’t damage lamps or break windows.”

3. Cabbage Patch Kids
In 1983, these dolls sparked the first big holiday shopping craze.
