NEWS ALERT!
It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s a . . . Hoverboard?

Recently, French inventor Franky Zapata became the first person to cross the English Channel—the waterway between England and France—on a hoverboard. He zoomed 22 miles in just over 20 minutes on a jet-powered board he designed himself.
Zapata steered by shifting his body position. (His boots were attached to the board.) He stopped halfway across to refuel. He said the stunt took a lot of physical strength, given his high speed, which topped 100 miles per hour, and strong winds.
