Think your bedroom is cramped? Imagine if your whole house was even smaller! Architects in Hong Kong created the OPod, a possible solution to the Chinese city’s housing crisis. The 100-square-foot apartment is built out of concrete drainpipes. It includes a bed, a kitchen, and a shower. Hong Kong is one of the world’s most expensive places to live and, given its hilly landscape, there are few areas to build. OPods can be constructed anywhere. Although the apartments aren’t available yet, architects insist they’re more than a pipe dream. They hope to start building OPods soon.
