Knickers, a supersize steer, may be one of the largest of his kind. The Holstein-Friesian—a type of cattle raised for meat—is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 2,800 pounds. (That’s about 11 times the weight of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson!) Knickers recently became a social media star when he was photographed in a field in southwest Australia—towering over a different breed of much shorter cattle. But have you herd the best news of all? Knickers’s size helped save his life. The steer is too big for the slaughterhouse, so he gets to live out his days in that very field.
