Pizza prep has gone high-tech in Mountain View, California. An assembly line of robots is helping Zume Pizza make about 370 pies an hour. First, a robotic pizza press turns out perfectly shaped dough. Three other robots add and spread the sauce. Finally, a robotic arm (above) lifts the pizza into the oven. Zume founders say they use the robots for repetitive jobs so their human employees can handle more delicate tasks—like adding the cheese and pepperoni!
